• Illustrated for geology graduate student, Shae McLafferty'spostgrad thesis project research on earthquakes to be used then and for future use
• Commissioned to create a detailed, exploded view of the apparatus, complete with measurements, labeled components and where movement was indicated
• Apparatus required an unprecedented and detailed illustration of the machine due to its one-of-a-kind construction/existence - created by the Geology department at
Iowa State University
